Illustrate your book with AI
WideSpool reads your whole manuscript first, then draws scenes beside the passages they show. Every character keeps one look from the first chapter to the last.

Questions
How is WideSpool different from a standalone image generator?
WideSpool starts with your book, plans pictures around its passages, and keeps the text and artwork together in a reading edition. Shared character, place, and style references guide later pictures. You can review the visual design, change prompts, and refine individual images in Studio without assembling the book by hand.
Can I change a picture or keep characters consistent?
Shared reference pictures help carry the same characters and visual direction across scenes, but AI can still get details wrong. In Studio, give instructions for a whole picture or select an area to adjust. You can add references, rewrite a prompt for a redraw, compare versions, and choose an earlier picture. New drawings and adjustments use credits.
What does it cost?
Most books: about $39.
Every picture is drawn by AI. That’s one 100-credit pack, enough for a typical novel with about 70 pictures. Long books with many pictures can need twice that.
- Visual design and picture prompts: 30 credits per book
- Each picture, redraw or edit: 1 credit
- First 8 reference and cover pictures: included
- Reading and export: no credits
Packs: 25 credits for $12, 100 for $39, or 300 for $99. No subscription.
Does WideSpool take ownership of my writing?
No. You keep the rights you already have in your writing and uploaded materials. WideSpool does not claim ownership of them. Using the service permits the processing and content review described below; it does not give WideSpool permission to publish your work.
Does WideSpool take work from illustrators?
We think it brings them more. Illustrations are expensive, and most writers can’t see the result before they pay, so they never commission them. WideSpool lets you see your book illustrated first. When you’re ready to work with an artist, choose Hire an illustrator in the reader’s ⋯ menu and we’ll introduce you to illustrators we know. Their work is quoted and paid separately, not with WideSpool credits.
