Questions

Do I have to draw the whole book at once?

No. Choose “I’ll direct it” to start after planning with one illustration and its required reference pictures, with their combined price shown before approval. You can then draw individual pictures or approve a whole-book batch. Starting with one picture leaves automatic drawing off. Or choose “Make it for me” when adding your book: WideSpool designs and draws all its planned pictures within your available credits. Once drawing starts, you can stop it.

Can I stop work or get credits back?

Planning and visual-design updates can’t be stopped once approved. Deleting the book or account keeps those credits spent. If work fails on our side or support stops it, we release the reserved credits; resume keeps saved work and needs fresh price approval. You can stop drawing: saved pictures stay charged and unsaved pictures are refunded. Closing the page does not stop accepted work. For a charge that looks wrong, email support@widespool.com.

Does WideSpool take work from illustrators?

We think it brings them more. Illustrations are expensive, and most writers can’t see the result before they pay, so they never commission them. WideSpool lets you see your book illustrated first. When you’re ready to work with an artist, choose Hire an illustrator in the reader’s ⋯ menu and we’ll introduce you to illustrators we know. Their work is quoted and paid separately, not with WideSpool credits.
